MORE than 700 spectators are expected to pack into Polkyth Leisure Centre on Saturday for the KORE MMA Cage Fighting Championships III.
And once again it promises to be a night to remember with some of the UK's best mixed martial artists descending on St Austell.
It will be the third time these Championships have taken place at Polkyth. The first taking place 12 months ago, and returning, by popular demand, in October.
Organisers have again been overwhelmed by the response of fans, who have been quick to snap up tickets for Saturday's event, which will include a number of pro bouts.
There are 16 fights in total, with Trojan Freefighters' Leon Pierre's bantamweight bout against Greg Reeves (Taurus Gym, Plymouth) topping the bill.
Several Cornish-based fighters are included on the bill, with KORE MMA providing five fighters.
Dean Wills' B-Class pro bout (welterweight) against Chris Ogden promises to be an exciting match up. Ogden fights for one of the country's top teams, Olympians MMA (Bristol).
Dan Hawkey returns to action after a year out and will face independent fighter Simon Mills in a light heavyweight bout.
KORE MMA's Joe Newnes, off the back of a split decision loss in Cheltenham, will be looking to bounce back when he comes up against Fusion MMA's Dan Smith. It's an important night for KORE MMA's Steve Smith, who makes his debut against Fusion MMA's Sam Stockdale. And Simon Newland will be looking to build on his unanimous decision win against Ultimate Impact in Cheltenham, when he goes face to face with Steve Darch (SWBBA).
Koncept Gym, Newquay, will also be represented, with Ross Mayne challenging George Thomas (Trojan Free Fighters).
Julie Kitchen's Touchgloves Gym (Penzance) are also competing, with Piotr Lapuc taking on Dan Howley (SWBBA).
Tickets, priced £25 each (all seated), can be bought at Polkyth Leisure Centre, and are available on the night.
Doors open at 5.30pm with the first fight taking place at 6.30pm.
